  • DM sends initial letter to agent
  • If agent is non-responsive within 30 days, DMM sends second notification letter
  • DM offers counsel and business plan development (see DARG guidelines)
  • Cc: of notification letters to Home Office and contract file at Service Center
  • For agents who have responded to DM or DMM letter of notification, DM checks on progress and updates business plan
  • For agents who have not responded to either letter of notification, DM can recommend termination if agent performance has not improved significantly
  • For agents who have significantly improved performance, DM recommends rehabilitation
  • For agents who have shown limited improvement under mitigation circumstances, DM and DMM can recommend one three-month extension
  • For agents who received a notice of termination at the three-month review, DM checks performance and either allows termination to go through or recommends rescinding he termination
  • There are three paths of agent exit from the program

- Full rehabilitation
- One three-month extension
- Termination

  • Cc: of all letters changing the status of the agent sent to Home Office and contract file at Service Center
