Compliment or Quota?  You make the call.

Agents across California are receiving the attached letter from their new State Executive Director.  One of the recipients forwarded this to UFAA and asked if Ron Coble was giving him a compliment, or if in fact, was he giving him a quota for the rest of the year.

To see the letter, click here if you are a current Farmers Insurance agent.

We must admit some confusion on our part.  The numbers seem to be so far out of realistic expectation that it could be a backhanded compliment at best and a slyly worded quota at worst.

Is he “California Dreaming”???

While each agent that receives this letter will have a different number in the sold so far category, we’d like to analyze this agent’s particular situation.  After three quarters, he’s sold 6 policies so far.  That’s an average of 2 per quarter.  Obviously Ron feels that level of production is worthy of recognition for a “job well (done)”.  But, then he says that he’s “confident” another 30 can be sold in the final quarter.  That’s 15 times his current average level of production!

Is that really a compliment?  What are your impressions?  Let us know your thoughts on the UFAA Bulletin Board.
